Mayor Marty Small of Atlantic City and his wife La’Quetta Small, superintendent of public schools, have both plead not guilty to charges of child abuse. The parties of the defense claim that the case is a “headline grabbing investigation” according to NJ.com. This follows earlier reports that they mayor and his wife had abused their teenage daughter.
