The Whitebrier in Avalon has been acquired by the Philadelphia Union League to expand its shore presence and accommodate its growing membership. The Union League plans to integrate the Whitebrier’s 200-seat capacity to enhance dining options for its members, though it remains unclear whether the restaurant will become exclusive to club members. The sale, driven by the Union League’s desire to expand in a popular area where many of its members own homes, is expected to close within a few months, with hopes of opening for members this summer.
