A coordinated traffic enforcement detail involving ten law enforcement agencies recently wrapped up its fourth operation across Cape May County. Operating under the SHIELD Task Force initiative, officers conducted 48 motor vehicle stops along several major routes, resulting in 17 summonses and two arrests. One driver was taken into custody on an outstanding warrant, while another faces drug and weapons charges. County Prosecutor Jeffrey Sutherland says the cross-jurisdictional effort allows police to strategically target dangerous driving behaviors and ultimately save lives.
