Cape May Police held an event on Saturday to unveil its new HERO patrol car. The car is in honor of Navy Ensign John R. Elliot who lost his life to a drunk driver nearly a quarter century ago. Cape May is the latest police department to have a wrapped car in the HERO campaign to remind drivers about the dangers of impaired driving.
