Funeral services will be held Wednesday in Sea Isle City for a matriarch of the community, Carmel Desiderio. Desiderio passed away last Wednesday at the age of 95. She is the mother of Sea Isle City Mayor and County Commission Director Len Desiderio. The Desiderio family is from Nutley, and moved to Sea Isle City to purchase the Sea Isle Inn and Kix Packaged Goods.
