The long-standing tradition of free beach access in Strathmere is officially over after the Upper Township Committee unanimously approved a new beach tag ordinance Monday night. Seasonal beach tags will cost $45, but beachgoers can secure a discounted rate of $30 if they purchase them between October 4th and Presidents Day. Visitors looking for a shorter stay will also have options, with daily tags priced at $10 and weekly tags costing $20.
