Murphy Signs Law, New Registration Fee for Electric Vehicles

Governor Phil Murphy signed a new bill into law this week that adds a brand new registration fee for the owners of electric vehicles. The new legislation also increases the state’s gasoline tax every year over a five year period. Money is intended to be funneled into the state’s program that pays for transportation infrastructure.
