The prosecution has rested in the criminal trial of New Jersey Senator Robert Menendez who is accused of swapping political influence for cash, gold bars, and other perks. Menendez is accused of taking bribes from three businessmen over a four year period in exchange for political favors. The defense now begins its portion of the case.
