Cape May County Prosecutor Jeffrey Sutherland says Wildwood officials acted properly by declaring a state of emergency and closing the boardwalk over the weekend. Police took the action after many incidents of civil unrest that sent public safety resources to the boardwalk. Sutherland says the investigation into a stabbing on the Ocean City boardwalk continues and charges are forthcoming.
