Remains Found in Middle Township Identified as Missing Lower Township Man

Authorities have identified human remains discovered in a Middle Township wooded area this past March as a 42-year-old man who had been missing since 2024. A local resident initially found a skull, leading search teams to uncover additional skeletal remains belonging to Benjamin J. Beason of Lower Township. The Cape May County Prosecutor’s Office says that while Beason’s identity has been confirmed by forensic experts, his cause and manner of death remain under active investigation.
