The federal government is again trying to establish a wind farm project off our beaches. The Associated Press reports the Atlantic Shores project has been green lighted by the United States Department of Interior. This wind farm would be in the ocean, generally located from Atlantic City north to Long Beach Island. The report suggests some wind turbines would be located fewer than nine miles from the coastline.
