A candidates’ forum in Ocean City got testy near the end Monday night when candidate Michael DeVlieger told the attendees that Mayor Jay Gillian is indebted to developers. The Press of Atlantic City reports DeVlieger doubled down on the comments, saying some members of Council are pawns for Gillian. None of the other candidates reportedly addressed those comments.
