Report: State is Thinking About Increasing Sales Tax

How does a seven percent sales tax sound to you? NJ.com reports that some state officials are thinking about an increase in the sales tax rather than passing additional taxes on to corporations. The report says New Jersey tax revenue is up slightly, but republicans say New Jersey cannot afford Governor Murphy’s budget goals.
