A major wave of commercial development is reshaping the Route 9 corridor in Somers Point, replacing former greenhouse spaces with popular national brands. New shopping and dining options, including Chick-fil-A, Panera Bread, Ross Dress for Less, and Chase Bank, are currently under construction or preparing to open. The most prominent project is the new Defeo Plaza at the former McNaughton’s Garden Center, which will feature standalone drive-thru locations to anchor the expanding retail hub.
