The Cape May County Prosecutor’s Office announced charges have been filed against 34 year old Michelle Stanton of the Villas relating to the death of her six month old son. Police were called to the residence on Wilde Avenue in June, 2023 to a call of an unresponsive child. Carty Stanton was pronounced dead at a local hospital after being transported. Stanton was arrested Thursday and charged with multiple second degree offenses, including manslaughter. Stanton was released pending subsequent court appearances.
