Nor’easter Causes Severe Beach Erosion Along New Jersey Coast

A weekend nor’easter has battered several New Jersey shore communities, resulting in heavy beach erosion and severe flooding. In Brigantine, Mayor Vince Sera reported that the storm caused the worst flooding and most significant damage the city has seen since Superstorm Sandy, severely washing out the local dune system. City officials plan to conduct a comprehensive assessment of the eroded beaches and begin the recovery process as soon as weather conditions improve.
