The New Jersey Department of Transportation will begin a construction project on Route 47 between mileposts 25.25 and 30.85 starting Monday, August 31st. Daytime drivers can expect limited delays between 7 a.m. and 5 p.m. as work focuses on the road’s shoulder, but nighttime commuters traveling between 8 p.m. and 6 a.m. may face lane closures and shifts due to active milling and paving. The roadway upgrades are estimated to be fully completed by December 15th, 2026, depending on weather conditions.
